HEALTH BENEFITS OF MANGOS

******************************************************************************
I thought this might be of interest to some of my readers. It was on my Facebook today. Kelly Bagnasco has graciously given me permission to repost and share any article that she posts on Facebook.

Here is a little chart that Kelly Bagnasco posted showing the health benefits of mangos.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF MANGOS

From this chart, I would say that this is a very beneficial fruit. I think I myself will try to start eating it more often. I have only eaten mangoes a few times that I can remember. But I really like it in tea drink mixes. So I can’t imagine that I won’t like eating it by itself.

ACID RE FLUX Smoothie

Acid Reflux Smoothie

I’VE HAD A GAZILLION REQUEST FOR THIS so here it is. Now save it to your timeline so you don’t loose it.

I don’t have acid re flux anymore. I’ve lost inches off my belly so the pressure is gone. I drank it every afternoon on a normal day but on a bad day I would drink it more. Now, I only drink it when I need too!! But I know many of my friends and family still suffer with it, so this one’s for you!

ACID RE FLUX Smoothie

Ingredients: 1 and 1/2 cups diced fresh pineapple (yes you may use frozen if thats all you can get) , 1 banana, 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup ice, 1/2 cup pineapple juice or water. Blend to consistency of a smoothie. Drink as much as you need and whenever you like.

You can’t substitute the recipe with other fruits, you may however try flavored yogurt to see how you do with it

Make sure you SHARE this to save and find on your wall later

Benefits Of Watermelon

******************************************************************************

I will put this notice on my post from now on, every time that I copy a post from Facebook, so all of my readers will know that this is not my work, but that of someone else. This, like so many of my posts have, came from Facebook. This post and picture is from Medical Medium‘s photo.

Watermelon is an excellent fruit that effectively hydrates, detoxifies, and cleanses the entire body on a cellular level. It is rich in vitamins A and C as well as lycopene, beta-carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin which are excellent for providing protection from lung, mouth, pancreatic, breast, prostate, endometrial, and colon cancer. Watermelon is also known to significantly reduce inflammation, help flush out edema, aid in weight loss, and alleviate depression. Watermelon can also boost the immune system as well as strengthen vision. Watermelon is not nearly as high in sugar as most people think as it has half the sugar than an apple. Watermelon is loaded with antioxidants that have the ability to neutralize free radical molecules and aid in the prevention of chronic illnesses. The rind of the watermelon is equally beneficial as it is one of the highest organic sodium foods in nature and one of the best sources of chlorophyll and can be juiced for a delicious and healing drink. And, if you are lucky enough to get a watermelon with black seeds, even better! Crunch those seeds up too, they have an amazing effect on the nervous system, aiding in relaxing the body and lowering blood pressure and contain helpful amounts of iron, zinc, and protein.

Ingredients Related Tips

1 large baked potato (russett or sweet)
1 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs
2 strips bacon, cooked and diced
2 Tbsp. shredded cheese
1 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Lay the baked potato on its side, and use a knife to carefully cut off the top third of the potato. With a spoon, hollow out the middle of the potato to make a “bowl, leaving the potato as thick or thin as youd like. (Just remember, the more room you leave, the more room for eggs, bacon and cheese!)

Place 1/2 tablespoon of butter in the middle of each bowl. Then gently break an egg into each bowl, careful not to break the yolk. Top with bacon, cheese, parsley, and then season with salt and pepper.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes, or until the egg whites are set. Serve immediately.
