What Religion Is Your Bra?

This little story was on my Facebook today in Kelly Bagnasco’s posts. I thought my readers just might enjoy it. This is so funny. I can almost see an older man asking such a question and being as befuddled as the man in the story was. Whoever came up with this little story can really make up good ones.

******************************************************************************

WHAT RELIGION IS YOUR BRA?
This is sooooo funny!

A man walked into the ladies department and shyly walked up to
the woman behind the counter and said,
‘I’d like to buy a bra for my wife.’
‘What type of bra?’ asked the clerk.

‘Type?’ inquires the man, ‘There’s more than one type?’
‘Look around,’ said the saleslady, as she showed a sea of bras in every shape, size, color and material imaginable.
‘Actually, even with all of this variety, there are really only four types of bras to choose from.’

Relieved, the man asked about the types.

The saleslady replied:
‘There are the Catholic, Salvation Army, Presbyterian, and the Baptist types.
Which one would you prefer?’

Now totally befuddled, the man asked about the differences between them.
The Saleslady responded, ‘It is all really quite simple.’

The Catholic type supports the masses;
The Salvation Army type lifts the fallen;
The Presbyterian type keeps them staunch and upright;
The Baptist type makes mountains out of molehills.

Oh and

Have you ever wondered why A, B, C, D, DD , E, F, G, and H are the letters used to define bra sizes?

If you have wondered why, but couldn’t figure out what the letters stood for, it is about time you became informed!

{A} Almost Boobs.
{B} Barely there.
{C} Can’t Complain.
{D} Dang!
{DD} Double dang!
{E} Enormous!
{F} Fake.
{G} Get a Reduction.
{H} Help me, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!

Send this to all that will appreciate it!

oh, they forgot the German bra.

Homemade Mosquito Repellent

Mosquitoes Repellent

This really works! I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and the little demons disappeared. The next year I filled? A 4-ounce spray bottle and used it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And voila! That worked as well.. It worked at a picnic where we sprayed the area around the food table, the children’s swing area, and the standing water nearby. During the summer, I don’t leave home without it….Pass it on.

17 GREAT USES FOR ALKA-SELTZER

17 GREAT USES FOR ALKA-SELTZER

1. Safely Unclog A Drain
A great natural solution for unclogging the drain! Just drop four Alka-Seltzer tablets down the drain, followed by a cup of white vinegar and allow to stand for about ten minutes. Flush with a pot of boiling water. Doing this on a regular basis can help keep that drain clear. This also works to deodorize the drain.

2. Clean a Toilet In A Hurry
Drop two tablets in the toilet, wait 20 minutes for the citric acid to loosen the grime, scrub and flush. The bowl will be clean, shiny, and deodorized. Handy for a quick clean in case of uninvited, unannounced, surprise guests.

3. An All-Purpose Cleaner
Alka Seltzer can also be a good all around cleaner. Plop three tablets into 8 ounces of warm water. Once the fizzing stops, dip a sponge in the water (or you could fill a spray bottle) and wipe down counters, tiles and tubs. You can even place some in your sink and use as mop water. Just add five tablets to one half gallon of water.

4. Soothe Insect Bites
Drop two tablets in warm water, then soak a cotton ball in the solution. Place on the bite for 30 minutes for relief from the insect bites.

5. Catch a Fish
Fish love bubbles. Break a tablet in half and throw it out near your fishing line, or put a tablet inside your tube jig and cast off. The fish won’t be able to resist the stream of bubbles.

6. Remove Burnt On Food From Bakeware
Drop 5 tablets into a sink full of hot water and let your cookware soak for an hour or so. The burnt food will come off with ease.

7. Whiten and Brighten Your Laundry
To get rid of dingy yellow color on white cotton, soak your whites in a solution of a gallon of warm water and two Alka Seltzer tablets. Then hang your whites in the sun to dry to get rid of any lingering stains.

8. Deodorize the Fridge
For a clean, fresh smelling refrigerator, drop an Alka-Seltzer tablet in a cup of water and leave it in the refrigerator for a half hour. If there is still a smell in the refrigerator, then wash down the inside of the refrigerator with another Alka-Seltzer tablet in water.

9. Clean a Glass Jar, Flower Vase or Thermos
For those difficult to clean vessels with narrow-necks, and hard to reach places, drop two Alka-Seltzer tablets in, add hot water and swish it around until the tablets are dissolved and let it sit for an hour. Rinse, and the glass jar, vase or Thermos will be as clean as new.

10. Restore Stained Plastic Containers
Got spaghetti sauce stains on your plastic containers? Simply fill your container with warm to hot water and depending on the size drop 1-2 tablets into the water. Let sit for 30 minutes and the stains will disappear before your eyes.

11. Polish Your Jewelry
Drop two tablets in a bowl of warm water. Let your jewelry soak for about 20 minutes. It will look new again! (Note: This is not safe for pearls or opals.)

12. Build Rockets For Kids
Entertain little ones by heading outside with an empty film canister, filled halfway with warm water. Drop in half a tablet, snap on the lid and place the canister upside down on the sidewalk or driveway. Take a step back and watch your rocket blast off!

13. Clean Your Coffeemaker
Fill the water chamber of the coffeemaker and then drop in three tablets. When the Alka-Seltzer has dissolved, put the coffeemaker through a brew cycle. This will clean out all the internal components. Run through another plain water cycle before using the machine again for coffee.

14. Help For Nicotine Addiction
If you’re trying to quit smoking Alka-Seltzer can help. Take two tablets three times a day to relieve nicotine withdrawal symptoms and curb cravings.

15. Cure Urinary Tract Infections
Showing signs of a urinary infection? Take two tablets in a glass of water as soon as you notice symptoms. Results are almost immediate. Keep in mind that Aspirin is a main ingredient in Alka-Seltzer so those with Aspirin allergies shouldn’t use it.

16. Clean and Deodorize A Cooler
After an outing or trip, add about 1 inch of water to the bottom of your cooler, drop 4 tablets in, and let sit for an hour. After an hour, rinse and dry. All smells will be gone and it will be clean and ready for its next use.

17. Clean Dentures
Drop an Alka-Seltzer tablet into a glass of warm water, and then drop your dentures into the glass for about ten minutes. The citric acid and carbonation will remove the toughest stains from your dentures and other prosthetic dental work. This is an excellent substitute for more expensive denture cleanser products.

80 TOTALLY AWESOME USES FOR COCONUT OIL

80 TOTALLY AWESOME USES FOR COCONUT OIL
Be sure to buy organic coconut oil. Most Walmart’s carry it on the aisle with the other cooking oils (it’s less than $7 at mine), also health stores should have them as well.

Personal Hygiene/Body:

1. Moisturizer – simply scoop some out of the jar and apply all over your body, including neck and face.
2. Eye cream – apply under the eyes to reduce puffiness, bags, and wrinkles. Use on the lids in the evening.
3. Preshave – coconut oil will prep skin for the pending damage caused by shaving.
4. Aftershave – coconut oil will help heal your skin after shaving without clogging pores.
5. Deodorant – coconut oil alone can be used as a deodorant, but even more effective in combination with cornstarch/arrowroot powder and baking soda!
6. Hair Conditioner/Deep Treatment – use as a leave in hair conditioner by applying a teaspoon of coconut oil to your ends and then running your fingers through your hair to distribute the rest! For a deeper treatment, rub in a tablespoon of coconut oil onto your dry scalp and gently work through to the ends. Put a shower cap on to prevent transfer onto bed linens and leave on overnight.
7. Hair Gel/Defrizzer – rub a little between your palms and either scrunch into hair (for curly hair) or finger comb in through from scalp to ends (for wavy/straight hair).
8. Toothpaste – there are numerous recipes out there but I just mix coconut oil and baking soda and dab a little of the mix on my toothbrush.
9. Make up remover – use a cotton swab and a dab of coconut oil and you would be amazed at how well it works!
10. Chapstick – just rub a little into lips and it not only acts as a softening agent but it also has an SPF of about 4 so you get a little protection!
11. Massage Oil – pretty simple; grab some and rub!
12. Lubricant – it is an all natural, perfectly safe personal lubricant. Not compatible with latex!
13. Sunscreen
14. Stretch Mark Cream – coconut oil is great at nourishing damaged skin. It may not be the magic stretch mark cure but it will help.
15. Nipple Cream – works great to nourish cracked, sore, or dry nipples. Apply to a cotton ball and leave on your nipples between feedings.
16. Diaper salve – very comforting on a rashy bum with no harsh chemicals. Also safe for cloth diapers.
17. Cradle cap – having issues with dry skin on your baby’s scalp? Coconut oil will not only nourish your baby’s skin, it also helps eliminate cradle cap. Just rub a teaspoon onto scalp daily.
18. Body scrub – mix coconut oil and sugar together and rub all over! Rinse off and your skin will be super soft! You can add in essential oils if you would like a specific smell.
19. Healing – when applied on scrapes and cuts, coconut oil forms a thin, chemical layer which protects the wound from outside dust, bacteria and virus. Coconut oil speeds up the healing process of bruises by repairing damaged tissues. Plus, it smells a heck-of-a-lot better than anything from the pharmacy.

General Health and Wellness:

23. Stress Relief – relieve mental fatigue by applying coconut oil to the head in a circular, massaging motion. The natural aroma of coconuts is extremely soothing thus helping to lower your stress level.
24. Digestion – the saturated fats in coconut oil have anti-bacterial properties that help control, parasites, and fungi that cause indigestion and other digestion related problems such as irritable bowel syndrome. The fat in coconut oil also aids in the absorption of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, making you healthier all around.
25. Fitness – coconut oil has been proven to stimulate your metabolism, improve thyroid function, and escalate energy levels, all of which help decrease your unwanted fat, while increasing muscle.
26. Nose bleeds – coconut oil can prevent nose bleeding that is caused by sensitivity to weather such as extreme hotness and extreme coldness. This condition happens when the nasal passages become dry because of cold or dry air resulting to burns and cracks in the mucus membranes so bleeding happens. To prevent this just put coconut oil in you nostrils. Coat your finger with coconut oil and then lie down and coat your finger inside your nose. Doing this will strengthen and protect the capillaries in the nasal passages. A Vitamin C supplement will also help prevent nose bleeding.
27. For breastfeeding moms, consuming 3 ½ tablespoons of coconut oil daily will enrich your milk supply.

HOW TO IDENTIFY POISON IVY

******************************************************************************
I thought this might help some of my readers. It was on my Facebook today. Kelly Bagnasco has graciously given me permission to repost and share any article that she posts on Facebook.
******************************************************************************

Here’s a keeper!!! I have always been a little bit fuzzy about what Poison Ivy looks like! Now we all know!

How To Identify Poison Ivy

This is a really good chart to go by. It shows pictures of each common variety of poison ivy, and gives a little rhyme to remember each one by.

There are 7 types of poison ivy on this chart. Below I have posted the rhyme for each of them. You may want to write them on an index card and have it with you anytime you go camping or hiking. If your memory is sharp, you can memorize them too. That way, you can’t lose the card, or it can’t get messed up and become where you can’t read it.

1.   If butterflies land there, don’t put your hand there.

2.   Leaves of three, let it be.

3.   Harry vine, no friend of mine. & Raggy rope, don’t be a dope.

4.   Berries white, run in fright. & Berries white, danger in sight.

5.   Longer middle stem, stay away from them.

6.   Red leaflets in the spring, it’s a dangerous thing.

7.   Side leaflets like mittens will itch like the dickens.

I hope this will help to keep you safe from poison ivy. You may leave comments below.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF MANGOS

Here is a little chart that Kelly Bagnasco posted showing the health benefits of mangos.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF MANGOS

From this chart, I would say that this is a very beneficial fruit. I think I myself will try to start eating it more often. I have only eaten mangoes a few times that I can remember. But I really like it in tea drink mixes. So I can’t imagine that I won’t like eating it by itself.

CARPENTER BEE REPELLENT
Carpenter Bees can destroy our deck foundations or any wood that is exposed! I’m about to share a remedy with you that I think will really excite you!

It isn’t enough just to kill those big ones flying around. We must get into the nest and kill the larve too. In my research, I found this remedy from someone and thought I would share it… with all of you too before our exposed wood all turns to sawdust!

Here’s what you do:
Spray the WD-40 into the hole using the stick on the nozzle. The bees will come out and then fall to the ground dead. Doing this also kills the larvae they lay in the holes which is why they are boring in the first place. You should also spray the WD-40 on the bare wood to keep the bees away too!

Natural Remedies for Bee, Wasp, and Hornet Stings

Natural Remedies for Bee, Wasp, and Hornet Stings
Always seek medical attention though if your condition doesn’t improve or worsens!

If a stinger is left embedded in the body, then remove it as soon as possible. This should be the first step. Use whatever tools are immediately available to dig it out. You could use a knife, credit card, pliers, tweezers, or a needle. Sterilize the tool if possible, but do not waste time. For maximum absorption, clean the area with soap and water before applying remedies, otherwise the oils on the skin will repel them.

Wasp and Hornet Stings:
Vinegar – Wasp and hornet venom are powerful alkalines. Use an acid such as vinegar to neutralize them. It can be applied via a piece of cloth or bandaging. Make sure to keep the stings soaked for at least 15 minutes. Some vinegar will absorb through the skin, and it should greatly help eliminate the discomfort.

Bee and Yellow Jacket Stings:
Baking Soda – In the case of bee stings, baking soda will help to neutralize the acidic venom. Make a paste by combining baking soda with water. Leave this paste on the sting site for at least 15 minutes. Some of the dissolved baking soda will leach through the skin to neutralize the venom somewhat. After applying it, and cleaning the sting area of residue; a chamomile tincture may be repeatedly applied for any residual itching or swelling.

Emergency Allergic Reactions:
If there is difficulty breathing, extreme dizziness, or nausea after a sting, then there is a high probability that it triggered a dangerous allergic reaction. In these cases, we recommend quickly consuming a large (i.e. quadruple) dose of chamomile. Chamomile is related to ragweed, so those with ragweed allergies should skip this step. A large amount of echinacea is also strongly recommended, if available. If pulse irregularities are experienced, then try to take some taurine, even if that means just holding the powder in the mouth. Then immediately get to the nearest hospital. The allergic reaction may stop by the time you arrive at the hospital, but you should definitely make the trip in case it does not. In these unfortunate latter cases, a steroid injection may be required to save your life.

Misinformation About Sting Remedies:
Treating most bee, wasp, and hornet stings is easy, but that may be difficult to believe if you have spent any time researching this topic on the Internet. Researching natural treatments for bee, hornet, and wasp stings is revealing about how much misinformation there is on the Internet. Some of it is laughable.

The Incredibly Stupid Sting “Treatments” That We Discourage:
Meat tenderizer
Onion
Potato
Mud (literally dirt and water)
Garlic
Ammonia
Vinegar combined with baking soda (neutralize themselves)

Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Cream Cheese Pound Cake
Oh wow! Don’t let this one go by without trying it! Pass it on so you have it saved in your timeline photo album for the future too, you won’t want to lose it!

Ingredients:
4 sticks butter,
4 cups sugar,
4 cups flour (cake or all purpose),
8 large eggs,
8oz cream cheese,
Flavoring of choice like vanilla or almond or cherry

Directions:
I leave my cream cheese, butter and eggs out to reach room temp. Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar until smooth, add eggs one or two at a time, then add flour one cup at a time. Last, add your flavoring. I used about 2tsp each of vanilla and banana in this one! YUM! Grease and flour your 10′ angel food pan and pour in batter. Make sure you lick the beater or your cake will not rise! LOL!

Start out with a cold oven.
Bake on 300 degree for 1 hour and 15 minutes, increase heat to 325 and bake another 30 minutes (if your cake is browning too fast, you may want to tent the top with foil.) Give it the tooth pick test in the middle. If you insert and cake is not done (still wet), allow to bake a little longer until skewer can be inserted and comes out dry. Allow to cool a few minutes before removing from pan.
