Rare Phenomenon In South Carolina on August 19, 2015

When You See What Just Appeared In The Sky Over South Carolina Your Jaw Will Hit The Floor.

Fire rainbows are very rarely seen since they require very specific conditions to exist.

They only appear when the sun is at a 58-degree angle or higher.

Have you ever seen anything this beautiful?

Some bystanders said that the stunning beauty of the fire rainbow reminded them of dear friends and loved ones they had lost. Looking at these pictures, I can understand why. What a truly a special thing to experience!

Tell your friends about this and remind them that there’s still magic in the world.

The Five Finger Prayer

I will put this notice on my post from now on, every time that I copy a post from Facebook, so all of my readers will know that this is not my work, but that of someone else. This, like so many of my posts have, came from Facebook. The article was from Heidi Victorino‘s Photo and article. I thought it was just awesome.

Teaching Children to Pray: The Five Finger Prayer
Here’s how to do it:

1. The thumb is the closest finger to you. Pray for those who are close to you. Our parents, siblings, extended family and friends.

2. The pointer finger is next. Pray for those who teach you, instruct you and heal you. They need our prayers to help them help others.

3. The following finger is the tallest. Pray for our leaders and others in authority. Pray that God grant them guidance. For children, this may be their parents, too!

4. The fourth finger is the ring finger. It is the weakest finger. Pray for the weakest among you. The hurt, the lonely, the sick. Remember what Jesus said about “the least of these”? This is where you honor Him by praying for them.

5. And finally we have our smallest finger, the smallest of all. Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. We gain perspective about our own needs when we put others first. That’s why we should pray for ourselves last.

The five finger prayer would also be adorable to pray with an infant in our arms as we are feeding, bathing or playing with them. Toes can work too!

Mother Of Six Built Cool Laundry Room

I will put this notice on my post from now on, every time that I copy a post from Facebook, so all of my readers will know that this is not my work, but that of someone else. This, like so many of my posts have, came from Facebook. My soon to be niece had this on Facebook. It is a YouTube video and story. It is on the website

Mother Of Six Built What Is Quite Possibly The Coolest Laundry Room Ever…For Only $400

Ronda Batchelor was sick of her laundry room. She is a mother of six and is constantly doing laundry. For just about $400 and some serious ingenuity, Batchelor created a super efficient and highly function-able laundry room in her home.

The room is complete with six removable baskets that are housed in a cupboard style space.  The baskets hold each child’s folded laundry so the kids are able to just remove their basket, bring it to their room and put their laundry away.

The coolest part is probably the homemade dry racks Ronda made. She places her hand washables on the rack, slides them into the customer built slots in her wall, clicks a timer switch that activates a fan and viola…the clothes are dry in no time!

When They Demanded He Take Down His Flag, He Did THIS For All American Patriots

His Flag

Raising an American flag in front of your house or place of business is a right that everyone should take advantage of, and typically no one has a problem with people flying the red, white and blue.

But at this Daphne, Alabama BBQ competition, one owner was told to take his flag down.. apparently because of a city ordinance. He refused, and it’s caused quite the controversy.

Jeff Petkevicius, owner of Give It To God Competition BBQ began filming during the incident, telling the camera, “I was just told, once again… having a flag blowing there is an issue. I’ve been told a couple of times to take it down. And I said, ‘For the sake of America, I’m not taking it down, I’m leaving it up.”

He threatened to leave the competition if he was not allowed to raise the flag by the Kansas City Barbecue Society , the group supporting the competition. They said that a city ordinance forbid the flags, and Petkevicius decided enough was enough.

He took to twitter, criticizing the city for their handling of the incident. The mayor of the city responded, saying that there were “no such restrictions” on raising the American flag. In addition, he said that no city officials ever instructed any event organizers to take down flags.

The city apologized to Petkevicius for his troubles, and he apologized to the city for leaving such negative comments on social media.

So in the end, a peaceful resolution but a strong showing in the defense of the rights of Americans everywhere. Don’t let anyone tell you where and when you can fly your American flag!

A Little boy’s Love

Car Crash

I was walking around in a Big Bazar store shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 years old..

The Cashier said, ‘I’m sorry, but you don’t have enough money to buy this doll. Then the little boy turned to the cashier and asked: are you sure I don’t have enough money?”

The cashier counted his cash once again and replied: ”You know that you don’t have enough money to buy the doll, my dear.” The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. ‘It’s the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much . I wanted to Gift her for her BIRTHDAY.

I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.’ His eyes were so sad while saying this. ‘My Sister has gone to be with God.. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister…”

My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: ‘I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.’ Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me ‘I want mommy to take my picture with her so my sister won’t forget me.’ ‘I love my mommy and I wish she doesn’t have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.’ Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly..

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ‘Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?”

‘OK’ he said, ‘I hope I do have enough.’ I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: ‘Thank you God for giving me enough money!’

Then he looked at me and added, ‘I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!” ‘I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn’t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses.’

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn’t get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.. I couldn’t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever…

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

Saying These 8 Things To Your Kid Every Day Could Change Their Life is where this came from. It was on my Facebook today, and I thought that it needed to be shared even more than on Facebook. I copied it in its’ entirety.

Kids. They grow up so fast, and before we know it they are out in the real world, and we are left wondering if we’ve done enough to prepare them for what’s out there! Here are a few simple things you can add to your daily conversations with your kids that can change the way they think about themselves, and others.

Image via Flickr

1. Try It!

Encourage your little one to experience new things, and learn to enjoy getting outside of their comfort zone. You may have to hold their hand at first, but don’t be afraid to let go, and see how they do on their own. It’s a big, beautiful world out there, and your child should grasp every opportunity to delight in it!

2. It’s Your Choice

Giving your child choices to make even early on in life will instill confidence in themselves. Knowing that they have choices, the freedom to choose, and your support all along the way is priceless.

3. You Are Safe And Loved

This may seem an odd or clunky thing to say, but letting your kid know that they are safe when they are with you is pretty important. While ensuring their safety and happiness is always the goal as a parent, verbalizing it every once in a while shows how much they are valued, and reassures them of their security.

4. You Make Me Happy

While it is true that our kids bring us endless joy, they sometimes cause a few headaches. We tend to only vocalize the times that they need to be quiet, or sit down, or go to bed. Instead, make a point to let your child know how happy they make you, and how you couldn’t imagine a life without them.

5. I Trust And Believe In You

Your kids never grow out of needing your approval. So start early, and don’t stop! This doesn’t mean letting them do whatever they want, but rather boosting their confidence when they make good choices, and being open to discussing options with them. Your words can build them up or tear them down, and either way, eventually your kids will grow up find their place in the world. Don’t you want to be the one who gave them their wings?

6. Have A Great Day, Don’t Forget Who You Are

Your kid is struggling to find their identity every day, and it’s happening sooner than you think. In this fast paced world we live in, it seems the angsty teenage years start at 10! It’s never too early to help build your child’s identity, and help them figure out what values to hold on to. Reminding them of who they are and how special and important they are before they leave the house – well, that’s just icing on the cake!

7. Mistakes Happen

When I was a kid, I swear I spilled a glass of milk at least once a day. I cried every time. That’s right, I literally cried over spilt milk. I’m sure it got annoying, and I’m sure when my parents started poking fun at me it was all in good humor. But I became so very self-conscience about my clumsy hands and my bumbling feet that I didn’t want to hardly move for fear of knocking something over! Instead of getting upset over spilt milk, it is far more productive to teach your kids that mistakes happen, and it’s how we deal with them that matters. You may even have an opportunity to show them how to handle a mistake in your own life!

All About That Spay

This is so unique and very important for people to pay attention to, especially if they have unaltered pets. There is a way to prevent massive numbers of animals (over 3,000,000) from being put down each year. That way is to prevent them from ever even being born by having your pet fixed. This is a cute video and song about it.  I copied the whole thing.

Cleburne veterinarian delivers musical message: Click to watch video

A Cleburne veterinarian is bringing awareness to pet overpopulation in a YouTube video she released last week.

The song, “All About That Spay,” parodies Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass,” and features Dr. Renee Brockett and her veterinary technicians from Nolan River Animal Hospital, singing and dancing as they warn about the consequences of not spaying or neutering your pets.

Brockett said the idea for the parody just popped into her head one day.

“‘All About That Bass’ was very popular; my kids were always singing it and it just gets stuck in your head,” Brockett said. “One time instead of ‘all about that bass,’ ‘all about that spay’ just popped into my head. I started putting pen to paper and within a week I had a pretty good version of the song written out.”

Brockett said her husband, Josh, helped with some of the wording.

“We had to get the right number of syllables and the rhyming down and that took a couple of weeks,” she said. “We were thinking about how we could do this and some people told us to keep it simple, but we went in the exact opposite direction. We wanted it to be done very professionally.”

Josh Brockett said the video only took four hours to film.

“We called Dick Gimble who has a recording studio at McLennan Community College down in Waco,” he said. “He played the bass in the video and brought in the other musicians. It was all a production around Renee’s voice; it was really her singing in the video.”

Josh Brockett said Troy Shaw, a videographer from Waco, filmed the video.

What She Caught Her Boyfriend Doing On Vacation…AMAZING!

Lalaine was on vacation with her boyfriend Chris in the Philippines when he stopped her dead in her tracks and said he needed to go to the store. She didn’t ask why but that’s when she saw Chris coming out of the store with food for the homeless children he had seen a bit earlier that day. She secretly filmed it, and this act of kindness will warm your heart!

Laraine Dawn Young was on vacation last month in Makati with her boyfriend Chris, when she experienced a wordless act of kindness by him that so melted her heart, she had to grab her phone to record the scene as it was unfolding. She called the video, “An Act of Compassion: The Man I Love Has The Most Beautiful Soul.”

She tells her story: “Chris and I were walking out of our hotel in Makati when I saw some children sleeping on the sidewalk. I felt so bad for these kids – I told my boyfriend about them kids and he saw them just laying there looking tired and sickly. Unquestionably, he felt bad for them as well. He told me to watch our things because he wanted to go to the nearest convenience store – I thought maybe he was just thirsty or hungry so OK. After a few minutes, he came out with a bag of groceries and told me he’s going to give it to the kids. *I melted*

As he was crossing the street, I decided to take a video so I can keep reminding myself that I’ve been blessed with a man who is not only smart, sexy and handsome but one who is also beautiful inside and out. He didn’t know I was recording this video until he got back 🙂

I wanted to keep this video to myself, but I am proud of my man. I wanna share his kind deed to the world even if he deserves more recognition than this.

Baby i know one day i’ll be able to immortalize you and the good things that you do not just through this, I don’t know how yet but i’ll figure it out. I love you Chris – God bless you and your big heart and beautiful soul ❤️”
