ERNEST

 

E agerly he lived his life

R espected by his friends, his family and his wife

N ever turned away from hard times or strife

E verlasting life, the Heavenly Father’s love.

S afe in the Father’s arms above

T ogether with the angels above

 

Ernest, from this life has passed.

He’ll walk the streets of gold at last.

He’ll be with loved ones that have gone ahead.

And love and comfort this thought will give.

 

Our hearts are heavy, our eyes full of tears,

For the loss of this loved one who was so dear.

But our hearts won’t forever be sad,

For we have fond memories to make us glad.

Only a shell in the grave will stay.

His spirit and soul went to Heaven straight away.

I know that our Heavenly Father above

Will reach down and hold us in his arms of love.
