A Kansas City, Kansas mother and grandmother are facing child abuse and neglect charges, after authorities allege the mother poured scalding hot water mixed with bleach onto her two-year old daughter.

“You can’t even think about it,” said Scott Lundgren, the victim’s uncle told  WDAF-TV, “How someone could do this is just amazing.  There’s not even words for it.”

The girl’s brother and sister told relatives about the incident that happened earlier this month. Those relatives contacted authorities.

When confronted, 25 year-old Katie Grimes said, “It’s bad, but it’s none of your business,” according to court documents obtained by WDAF-TV.

The child suffered skin burns and is receiving treatment.

The two year-old’s grandmother is facing charges in the incident because it’s alleged she was home at the time her granddaughter was burned and did nothing to help the child.
